What does the Chicago Energy Fund do?

The goal of the Chicago Energy Fund is to make obtaining green energy and money saving equipment possible for everyone. We want to get green equipment in every home. We match up private individuals who want to invest in a shared green future with people that want to install green systems in their homes but do not have the money up front to do so. We want to change the way we get power and heat and cool our homes.

Our belief is that green energy needs to be made easy and affordable if we are to change the current model of how we fuel our world.

How does Chicago Energy Fund make its money?

We facilitate loans between people that want to lend money for green projects and make a good return on their money, and people that want to put in green equipment into their homes to save money and energy.  To do this, we take a small fee to set the loans up and we take a percentage of the interest rate so that we can pay our employees and facilitate the process of a green energy changeover.
